About Idaho's 2025 rates
Because Idaho Code 63-3024 imposes the 5.3% rate on taxable income over the floor rather than on every dollar, the floor is worth up to $255 of tax to a single filer and $510 on a joint return, and everything above it is taxed at the same rate no matter how much you earn. Idaho conforms closely to the federal tax code for determining taxable income, with some modifications. The state does not tax Social Security benefits.
State tax sits on top of federal — see the current federal tax brackets and standard deductions to estimate your full 2025 liability.
